How did you join the band?

When I left Zwarte’ so did Hornick and I did not have a iron clad plan. I just knew I wanted to get out of Zwarte’ and do something improved and professional. After a very brief attempt at working with Hornick and another kid from Columbus, NE on guitar I was clearly aware it was going to be a long road to start all over. It was during this time Shane invited me to come see his band Stones Throw. He had touted Drew’s talents and got me excited to watch them. Watching his band confirmed this would be the next home for my voice and energy. I knew it in the first verse of the first song.

How did you start signing?

Being a flashy but able drummer-singer for 14yrs left me hungry to come out front and sing and sing and sing! Call it confidence, call it ego, I don’t give a shit. I love singing and I love hearing myself singing!

Who are your influences?

Tyler , Plant, Petty & Daffy Duck!

Tell us a funny story about JuddHoos:

The first night we tried to rehearse we did not click at all and I left the practice saying to myself, ‘what have I done’. The next day after a mostly sleepless night we started to gel. Thank God!

What is one of your goals with Juddhoos?

Make original music the world wants to hear!

If you could play anywhere where would it be?

Madison Square Garden !

Tell us about your fellow band members:

Shane:

He is grounded, does not snore, and reminds me what perspective means. Plays drums excellent, cracks to many symbols!

Drew:

If I could trade musical brains with him for just one day I would have retrieved more knowledge in that one day than I have learned in my whole life. Drew has more musical skill in his left nut then I have in my whole body!

Chris:

Hornick sees life very black and white and it keeps him very black and white. Very user friendly mindset to work with.
